Today we will read Genesis Chapter 45-47.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When Joseph saw his brothers repented, he forgave them. They envied him and sold him to Midianites as slave. Now they volunteered to substitute for their younger brother as slave. Joseph made himself known to his brothers and they cried loudly. A very touching scene. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Joseph not only forgave his brothers, he accepted them, and planned for them. He gave them the land of Goshen to live and prosper and multiply. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The story of Joseph is the story of God. God works in and through and around and with the shadows of brokenness and woundedness in this story. God works a healing in Joseph\u2019s heart and he extends that healing through Joseph and to his brothers.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The blind man, Bartimaeus, threw off his cloak and ran trembling to Jesus. And Jesus said, \u201cWhat do you want me to do for you?\u201d He said, \u201cLord, that I may receive my sight.\u201d In that moment as he said, \u201cLord,\u201d his spiritual eyes were opened. And Jesus said, \u201cYour faith has made you whole.\u201d Notice\u2014not your intellectual understanding, not your money, not your works\u2014but your faith. Faith! That\u2019s all it takes! Immediately Bartimaeus, who had been blind all of his life, began to open his eyes, and the first thing he saw was the face of Jesus. What an experience\u2014to open one\u2019s eyes and look straight into the strong, tender face of Jesus! Bartimaeus met Jesus and the record says he \u201cfollowed Jesus in the way.\u201d When you go back to your business, or your home, or your neighborhood, or your friends, or your school, you don\u2019t go alone. Christ goes with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Daily Prayer
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for healing me from my spiritual blindness!
\u201cto open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.\u2019\u201d
