Today we will read chapters 12-14.\u00a0To deal with the man’s rebellion, God’s redemption\u00a0plan was carried out. Starting from selection of 1 person, to 1 family, then 1 tribe and finally 1 nation, and prepare the Messiah in this nation. Abram was the starting\u00a0phase of the plan. When he was called by God, he lived in a rich but corrupted place called Ur. God called him to leave his comfort hometown and to a remote unknown country. The promise God gave him was, his name would be great, his nation would\u00a0be a great nation, and all nations would be blessed through him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It seemed to be such an unreasonable, impractical\u00a0proposal. But Abram submitted to God’s calling, he went.Only through submission\u00a0to God, we can enjoy the honey and milk He promises. Abram was not selfish. He put God first, and others ahead of himself. He let his nephew choose the best land. He defeated other kings and didn’t take anything from them. The Bible says “Abram believed\u00a0in the Lord and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He trusted God is almighty. He trusted God’s promise. And he trusted God is faithful and righteous.\u00a0Faith is believing in God and trust God will fulfill what He has promised even in hardship and challenged situations, and it takes time to grow our\u00a0faith.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
